Timescapes: An ESRC Qualitative Longitudinal Initiative

New YouTube dissemination video - Siblings & Friends Study, London South Bank University

29 October 2010 |

Over the past four years Rosalind Edwards and Susie Wellers (London South Bank University) have been working on a qualitative longitudinal study exploring change and continuity in young people’s sibling relationships and friendships. They have been particularly interested in how such relationships relate to young people’s sense of self as their individual and family biographies unfold.

In order to disseminate some of their research findings they have developed a short YouTube video, using participants' photographs and extracts from some of their interviews:

What do teenagers’ bedrooms say about their identities and relationships?

This is a prototype and our aim is to develop further videos detailing different aspects of our work, suitable for a general audience, particularly young people.
